Many advances have been done in the last decade in understanding CNS damage mechanism, endogenous neuroprotection, neurorecovery and neurorestoration. New concepts have been coined in neurosciences (e.g. neurovascular unit, endogenous defense activity, endogenous molecular synergism), some concepts were better defined (e.g. neurotrophicity, neuroplasticity, pharmacological neuromodulation), some strategies to treat neurological disorders were reproached (e.g. neuroprotection by pharmacological suppression of damage mechanism), new strategies have been developed under the translational paradigm (e.g. tissue engineering and neuroprostheses). In this context, neurorestoratology is an eloquent example of such of development using all these scientific ingredients.
Basic and clinical researchers from related specialties all over the world will join their efforts in what promises to be an outstanding forum of discussion about creating, testing and using methods from which patients can get benefits. Latest basic research and clinical trials in brain protection, neurorecovery and neurorestoration will be presented.
The Youth Forum of IANR will continue being held to encourage young scholars to pursue their study in Neurorestoratology. Debates, workshops and round table discussions will be organized during the four days of the conference. Additionally, the social program, for attendees and companions will be rich and enjoyable. We sincerely invite those who are interested in this soulful field to join us. Your active participation will be greatly appreciated.
